About Goodrich Works

I’m David Goodrich. I started Goodrich Works as a way to bring together two things I’ve spent decades doing: helping organizations make sense of their technology, and helping students make sense of math.

I enjoy taking something that feels complicated or overwhelming and breaking it down into something clear, structured, and workable.

I’ve spent over 30 years working in technology leadership roles, including at Harvard Business School. My work has focused on improving systems that people rely on every day — from infrastructure and enterprise platforms to security, data, and operations.

A lot of that work comes down to a few simple questions:

What actually matters

What’s getting in the way

What can we simplify

I’ve led modernization efforts, cleaned up overly complex environments, and helped teams move from “this sort of works” to something much more stable and intentional.

I’ve also worked with students for over 30 years—in classrooms, tutoring, and hands-on, project-based settings, including LEGO robotics, Arduino electronics, and introductory computer science alongside math.

In practice, this breaks down into two areas.

For Businesses and Organizations

I help:

  • Set clear IT direction and system architecture

  • Identify and reduce security risk

  • Simplify fragmented tools and platforms

  • Design and build practical websites and web-based tools

  • Get real value from the systems already in place

This is hands-on, practical work that results in clearer systems and simpler, more manageable operations, and if that sounds helpful, I’d be glad to connect.

For Students

I work with high school students on:

  • Pre-Algebra, algebra, geometry, precalculus, and calculus

  • AP Statistics, AP Physics, and Computer Science

  • College entrance exam preparation, with a focus on problem-solving and strategy

  • Study habits, problem-solving approaches, and putting simple supports in place that make independent problem solving possible.

What I enjoy most is helping students reach real understanding, when the work starts to click.
